Teen Health

The Lake Superior Community Health Center provides comprehensive primary care services for teenagers including:

  • School / Camp physicals
  • Routine check-ups
  • Immunizations
  • Health care when sick or injured
  • Monitoring and treatment of chronic illness (ex: high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma)
  • Mental health needs
  • Preventative care
  • Access to medications including birth control
  • Laboratory services
  • Assisted referrals are provided for services such as specialty care
  • Health education
  • Pelvic Exams
  • STD testing & treatment / HIV & Hepatitis testing

Minnesota Family Planning Program
Women or men between the ages of 15 – 50 can receive free family planning office visits and education, birth control, sterilizations, and diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases found during a family planning visit.  Click here for eligibility and benefits information.

Wisconsin Family Planning Waiver Program
Uninsured women between the ages of 15 – 44 can receive free pregnancy testing and counseling, reproductive health exams & tests and birth control methods & supplies. Click here for eligibility and benefits information.
